Why is “WHY” important in teaching?

Start with Why

If you wish to be remembered by the student community for years, I recommend that you start with why.

For freshers, it is most important to know why you are entering the noble profession of teaching. Is it money? Is it compulsion? Or are you really passionate about sharing knowledge and adding value to the lives of students?

In every lecture that one conducts, immaterial of whether you are a newbie or a highly experienced faculty, it is imperative that you teach students with the why. Teaching with reason and logic is often ignored on the pretext of portion completion.
Once you start explaining the why behind concepts, formulae and laws, you’ll find that there will be maximum attendance in your class and results will also dramatically improve.
Your students will fall in love with learning, thanks to your passionate teaching and zeal for learning.

If you are already following this, you are on your way to becoming a legend. Congratulations!
If you haven’t tried this approach, I urge you to try. You will have to invest more time and energy but in the end, it will be truly worth it!!!

1,499 new colleges to start in Maharashtra

There were 1,537 new proposed sites in the five-year destination plan from 2024 to 2029, out of which 1,499 places were qualified and the plan was approved, said Chandrakant Patil
Various locations for starting colleges and institutes for higher education have been identified in the non-agricultural university areas of the state, said officials.The five-year comprehensive plan from 2024 to 2029 for the determination of the sites was approved in a meeting of the Maharashtra State Commission for Higher Education and Development
(MAHED) on August 30 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. According to the plan, 1,499 new colleges will start in the state this year.
The MAHED meeting was held at Sahyadri Guest House in the presence of state deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The five-year comprehensive plan from 2019 to 2024 included 1,059 sites and 3,193 new proposals were submitted to the commission by universities, out of which 2,819 site points were approved by ‘MAHED’, while 593 new colleges have been given final approval in the last five years.
Maharashtra has the highest number of universities and colleges in the country with ‘NAAC’ status, but ‘permanent unaided’ colleges also discussed the process of registration with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council to get National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) status.

Maharashtra forms 16-member committee to restructure school education in line with NEP

As the state plans to implement the NEP recommendations from the upcoming academic year (2024-25), this committee is expected to design a roadmap for the same in coordination with other committees formed. from areas such as education, child psychology, sports and culture.The committee will be headed by the minister of school education. Apart from government officials, the committee will comprise experts departments of the NCERT, whose “in-house experts” were also involved in the process.
